Why we are in the business of web design ...

Hi my name is Katrina Osman and I am the web designer here at Cool Caper Web Design.

I have always enjoyed creative works however I have spent most of my career in business administration including the areas of marketing, sales and book keeping. My first web creation was in 2005 where I used online software to set up an online presence for my husbands business. I put in so much work entering information and photos only to have the supplier of the online service loose all of my work. There was no back up as it was a site created online, using only the resources of their online software and only storing files to their server with no options to back up my work. I had to find the time as a new mum to instantly replace all of my hard work overnight. This was the start... I now had a growing need to learn the web within me and I knew I had to find another option. (Oh and yes we back up all of the work we do here at Cool Caper. All of our sites are created offline and only copied to an online host on completion.)

Several web related courses and plenty of study and practice took place thereafter. I am still studying web design in the areas of online databases which is the workings behind online forums, shopping carts, login only access, file uploads, downloads and various programming codes. I am now however able to see some of my hard earned study at work.

I am a confident and experienced web designer in all areas of html web design incorporating html forms, flash animations, slide shows, graphic design and search engine optimisation (SEO). My broad business background and studies have also given me the ability to understand businesses marketing targets and online needs.

I endeavor to ensure all websites I create capture the essence of your business, showcasing your services online and have a successful online presence, easy assessability and clear navigation.
